MY story so far
Born in 1981 and raised in rural Massachusetts, I grew up in a log cabin with a penchant for 1920s–1960s pop culture. I started my first band in the fourth grade and have gone on to have many since. I spent my childhood from that point on collecting records, comic books and movie posters, writing and recording my own music, making and airing my own short films and TV shows, producing and appearing on my high school's weekly news show and renting the local Blockbuster and Hollywood Video's "Cult", "Foreign" and "Classics" sections dry.
From fall 2000 through spring 2006, I earned my BFA in Filmmaking and BA in Art Education from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design while continuing to write and perform music as well as contributing to the local positive DIY punk and indie rock scene in Boston as an artist, musician and though hosting and promoting house and basement shows.
After relocating to Brooklyn in the summer of 2006, I spent the next five years writing, recording, performing and touring with my band The Specific Heats (2004–2011) while also playing in/founding a number of additional bands including: Theee Doane-Givvaschittz, Shumai, The Lil' Hospital, My Teenage Stride, a Halloween-only group called Freddy & the Jasons, and Creeptales. Since then, I've become a full-time graphic designer and have been DJing, while continuing to make music in Psychic Yardsale (2011-2013), Little Buckaroo (western & skiffle 2012-2013), Cheap Sneakers (budget rock/garage rock - 2013 to present) on the side.
Having gone some time without acting, I realized I enjoyed and missed it. In the fall of 2015, I signed on as an extra on Blue Bloods on a whim (and because it's one of my mother's favorite shows and it often shoots in my neighborhood) and lo and behold – I was smitten! I'm currently taking classes at The Barrow Group and accruing my on-set experience doing additional background work and have been having a blast! Stay tuned...
