Inspiration

Gabi shared gorgeous print ads and other work by Mike Strouth, John Alcorn, and Peter Max as reference materials. We needed a mark that could feel at home alongside these illustrations but also stand on it’s own in print and digital applications.

I drew from Gabi’s work and their personal style (including their trademark day-glo hair) when it came time to develop color palettes.

Wordmark development: Round 1: Typographic Preferences

Round 2

We established early on that Gabi wanted at least two different marks that should could use. One that would work in a circle and one for rectangular applications. I began (in the obvious place) by referencing an umbrella shape for two options.

Round 3: Final Delivery

In the end, Gabi chose two marks, with background color variations for each.
